How to Choose the Right Kada Size

A useful starting point is the circumference of the wrist where the kada will sit. Wrap a flexible tape around the wrist without pulling it tight, or use a strip of paper, mark the overlap and measure it flat with a ruler. Repeat once to check the reading and note the unit used.

Wrist circumference is not the same as the inside circumference or diameter of a rigid kada. If a product lists internal dimensions, compare them with a correctly measured piece you already wear. Do not convert between diameter and circumference without checking the measurement method stated by the seller.

Fit preference matters. Some people like a closer fit; others want more movement. The shape of the hand, opening or closure, and the kada's profile also affect whether it can pass over the hand comfortably. Follow the product's own size chart and contact the retailer if the listed measurement or method is unclear.

For a fixed, closed kada, the hand can be the limiting point even when the wrist measurement seems suitable. Check whether the listing explains how the piece opens or passes over the hand, and compare its stated internal dimensions with a piece you already know fits. Do not force a rigid design over the hand; if the construction or fit method is unclear, ask before ordering.

Keep your measurement consistent. Use the same unit as the product chart, measure at the position where the kada will sit and repeat the process without tightening the tape. When comparing a current bracelet or bangle, measure the item itself only if the seller's chart uses the same dimension. A written note of both the measurement and method can prevent confusion when comparing several designs.

Once you have a likely size, check how the seller describes fit for that exact shape. A round rigid kada, an adjustable design and a hinged style do not necessarily use the same chart or allowance. Look for stated tolerances and size ranges, and do not add an arbitrary amount to your measurement unless the product's instructions say to do so.

For a gift, a well-fitting bracelet can help estimate the recipient's preferred size, but it is not a guarantee that a different style will fit the same way. Check the size options before ordering and avoid choosing a size based only on a person's height or clothing size. Browse the kada collection and check each item's published measurements.
